1 Corinthians
to avoid and not to mingle with anyone who, bearing the name of brother or sister, becomes immoral, exploiter, gossip, drunkard, embezzler. In which case you should not even eat with them)
Chapter 5
1You have become news with a case of immorality, and such a case that is not even found among pagans. Yes, one of you has taken as wife his own stepmother.
2And you feel proud! Should you not be in mourning instead and expel the one who did such a thing.
3For my part, although I am physically absent, my spirit is with you and, as if present, I have already passed sentence on the man who committed such a sin.
4Let us meet together, you and my spirit, and in the name of our Lord Jesus and with his power,
5you shall deliver him to Satan, so that he may lose everything and his life, but his spirit be saved in the day of Judgment.
6This is not the time to praise yourselves. Do you not know that a little yeast makes the whole mass of dough rise?
7Throw out, then, the old yeast and be new dough. If Christ became our Passover, you should be unleavened bread.
8Let us celebrate, therefore, the Passover, no longer with old yeast, which is sin and perversity; let us have unleavened bread, that is purity and sincerity.
9In my last letter I instructed you not to associate with immoral people.
10I did not mean, of course, those who do not belong to the church and who are immoral, exploiters, embezzlers or worshipers of idols. Otherwise you would have to leave this world.
11What I really meant was to avoid and not to mingle with anyone who, bearing the name of brother or sister, becomes immoral, exploiter, gossip, drunkard, embezzler. In which case you should not even eat with them.
12Why should I judge outsiders? But you, are you not to judge those who are inside?
13Let God judge those outside, but as for you, drive out the wicked person from among you.
Chapter 6
1When you have a complaint against a brother, how dare you bring it before pagan judges instead of bringing it before God's people?
2Do you not know that you shall one day judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you incapable of judging such simple problems?
3Do you not know that we will even judge the angels? And could you not decide every day affairs?
4You should ask those who are the last in the Church to decide such matters.
5Shame on you! Is there not even one among you wise enough to be the arbiter among believers?
6But no. One of you brings a suit against another one, and files that suit before unbelievers.
7It is already a failure that you have suits against each other. Why do you not rather suffer wrong and receive some damage?
8But no. You wrong and injure others, and those are your brothers and sisters.
9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Make no mistake about it: those who lead immoral lives, or worship idols, or who are adulterers, homosexuals of any kind,
10or thieves, exploiters, drunkards, gossips or embezzlers will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.
11Some of you were like that, but you have been cleansed and consecrated to God and have been set right with God by the Name of the Lord Jesus and the Spirit of our God.
12Everything is lawful for me, but not everything is to my profit. Everything is lawful for me, but I will not become a slave of anything.
13Food is for the stomach, as the stomach is for food, and God will destroy them both. Yet the body is not for sex, but for the Lord; and the Lord is for the body.
14And God who raised the Lord, will also raise us with his power.
15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? And you would make that part of his body become a part of a prostitute? Never!
16But you well know that when you join yourselves to a prostitute, you become one with her. For Scripture says: The two will become one flesh.
17On the contrary, anyone united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.
18Avoid unlawful sex entirely. Any other sin a person commits is outside the body but those who commit sexual immorality sin against their own body.
19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, given by God? You belong no longer to yourselves.
20Remember at what price you have been bought and make your body serve the glory of God.
Chapter 7
1Now I will answer the questions in your letter. It is good for a man not to have sex with a woman.
2But the appeal of sex is there. Let each man have his own wife and each woman her own husband.
3Let the husband fulfill his duty of husband and likewise the wife.
4The wife is not the owner of her own body: the husband is. Similarly, the husband is not the owner of his own body: the wife is.
5Do not refuse each other, except by mutual consent and only for a time in order to dedicate yourselves to prayer, and then come together again, lest you fall into Satan's trap by lack of self-control.
6I approve of this abstention, but I do not order it.
7I would like everyone to be like me, but each has from God a particular gift, some in one way, others differently.
8To the unmarried and the widows I say that it would be good for them to remain as I am,
9but if they cannot control themselves, let them marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
10I command married couples - not I but the Lord - that the wife should not separate from her husband.
11If she separates from him, let her not marry again, or let her make peace with her husband. Similarly the husband should not divorce his wife.
12To the others I say - from me and not from the Lord - if a brother has a wife who is not a believer but she agrees to live with him, let him not separate from her.
13In the same manner, if a woman has a husband who is not a believer but he agrees to live with her, let her not separate from her husband.
14Because the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband who believes. Otherwise, your children also would be apart from God; but as it is, they are consecrated to God.
15Now, if the unbelieving husband or wife wants to separate, let them do so. In this case, the Christian partner is not bound, for the Lord has called us to peace.
16Besides, are you sure, wife, that you could save your husband, and you, husband, that you could save your wife?
17Except for this, let each one continue living as he was when God called him, as was his lot set by the Lord. This is what I order in all churches.
18Let the circumcised Jew not remove the marks of the circumcision when he is called by God, and let the non-Jew not be circumcised when he is called.
19For the important thing is not to be circumcised or not, but to keep the commandments of God.
20Let each of you, therefore, remain in the state in which you were called by God.
21If you were a slave when called, do not worry, yet if you can gain your freedom, take the opportunity.
22The slave called to believe in the Lord is a freed person belonging to the Lord just as whoever who has been called while free, becomes a slave of Christ.
23You have been bought at a very great price; do not become slaves of a human being.
24So then, brothers and sisters, continue living in the state you were before God at the time of his call.
25With regard to those who remain virgins, I have no special commandment from the Lord, but I give some advice, hoping that I am worthy of trust by the mercy of the Lord.
26I think this is good in these hard times in which we live. It is good for someone to remain as he is.
27If you are married, do not try to divorce your wife; if you are not married, do not marry.
28He who marries does not sin, nor does the young girl sin who marries. Yet they will face disturbing experiences, and I would like to spare you.
29弟兄們,我給你們說:時限是短促的,今後有妻子的,要像沒有一樣; 29I say this, brothers and sisters: time is running out, and those who are married must live as if not married;
30those who weep as if not weeping; those who are happy as if they were not happy; those buying something as if they had not bought it, and those enjoying the present life as if they were not enjoying it.
31For the order of this world is vanishing.
32I would like you to be free from anxieties. He who is not married is concerned about the things of the Lord and how to please the Lord.
33While he who is married is taken up with the things of the world and how to please his wife, and he is divided in his interests.
34Likewise, the unmarried woman and the virgin are concerned with the service of the Lord, to be holy in body and spirit. The married woman, instead, worries about the things of the world and how to please her husband.
35I say this for your own good. I do not wish to lay traps for you but to lead you to a beautiful life, entirely united with the Lord.
36If anyone is not sure whether he is behaving correctly with his fiancee because of the ardor of his passion, and considers it is better to get married, let him do so; he commits no sin.
37But if another, of firmer heart, thinks that he can control his passion and decides not to marry so that his fiancee may remain a virgin, he does better.
38So then, he who marries does well, and he who does not marry does better.
39The wife is bound as long as her husband lives. If he dies, she is free to be married to whomsoever she wishes, provided that she does so in the Christian way.
40However, she will be happier if, following my advice, she remains as she is, and I believe that I also have the Spirit of God.

1Do not judge and you will not be judged.
2In the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and the measure you use for others will be used for you.
3Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye and not see the plank in your own eye?
4How can you say to your brother: 'Come, let me take the speck from your eye,' as long as that plank is in your own?
5Hypocrite, take first the plank out of your own eye, then you will see clear enough to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

So be alert, for the Son of Man will come at the hour you least expect)
Matthew
Chapter 24
1Jesus left the Temple and as he was walking away, his disciples came to him and boasted about the imposing Temple buildings.
2But he said, "You see all this? Truly I say to you: not one stone will be left upon another here. All will be thrown down."
又什麼是你來臨和時代窮盡的先兆?」 3Later when Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately and asked, "Tell us when this will take place. What sign will be given us before your coming and the end of history?"
4Jesus answered, "Be on your guard and let no one mislead you.
5Many will come, claiming my title and saying: 'I am the Messiah,' and they will mislead many people.
6You will hear about war and threats of war, but do not be troubled, for these things must happen, but it is not yet the end.
7Nations will fight one another, and kingdom oppose kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in several places,
8but all these are only the beginning: the first pains of childbirth.
9Then they will arrest you, and they will torture and kill you. All nations will hate you for you bear my name.
10In those days, many will stumble and fall; they will betray one another and become enemies.
11False prophets will appear and mislead many people,
12and because of such great wickedness, love will grow cold in many people.
13But the one who holds out to the end will be saved.
14The Good News of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world for all the nations to know; then the end will come.
15When you see what the prophet Daniel foretold: the idol of the invader set up in the Temple (may the reader understand!),
16then let those in Judea flee to the mountains.
17If you are on the housetop, do not come down to take anything with you.
18If you are in the field, do not turn back to fetch your cloak.
19How hard it will be for pregnant women and mothers with babies at the breast!
20Pray that it may not be in winter or on a sabbath that you flee.
21For there will be great tribulation such as was never known from the beginning of the world until now, and is never to be known again.
22And if that time were not to be shortened, no one would survive. But God will shorten it for the sake of his chosen ones.
23Then, if anyone says to you: 'Look! The Messiah is here! He is there!', do not believe it.
24For false Messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders so great that they would deceive even God's chosen people, if that were possible.
25See, I have told you everything ahead of time.
26So, if anyone tells you: 'He is in the desert,' do not go. If they say: 'He is in such a secluded place,' do not believe it.
27For the coming of the Son of Man will instead be like lightning which flashes from the east even to the west.
28'Wherever the body is, the vultures will gather.'
29For later, after that distress, the sun will grow dark, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the skies, and the whole universe will be shaken.
30Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven: as all the nations of the earth beat their breasts, they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with divine power and the fullness of Glory.
31He will send his angels to sound the trumpet and gather the chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the earth to the other.
32Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches grow tender and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near.
33In the same way, when you see all that I have told you, know that the time is near, even at the door.
34Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened.
35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
36But as for that Day and that Hour, no one knows when it will come, not even the angels of God nor the Son, but only the Father.
37At the coming of the Son of Man it will be just as it was in the time of Noah.
38In those days before the Flood, people were eating and drinking, and marrying, until the day when Noah went into the ark.
39Yet they did not know what would happen until the flood came and swept them away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
40Of two men in the field, one will be taken and the other left.
41Of two women grinding wheat together at the mill, one will be taken and the other left.
42Stay awake, then, for you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
43Just think about this: if the owner of the house knew that the thief would come by night around a certain hour, he would stay awake to prevent his house to be broken into.
44So be alert, for the Son of Man will come at the hour you least expect.
45Imagine a capable servant whom his master has put in charge of his household to give them food at the proper time.
46Fortunate indeed is that servant whom his master will find at work when he comes.
47Truly, I say to you, his lord will entrust that one with everything he has.
48Not so with the bad servant who thinks: My master is delayed.
49And he begins ill-treating his fellow servants while eating and drinking with drunkards.
50But his master will come on the day he does not know and at the hour he least expects.
51He will dismiss that servant and deal with him as with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew
Chapter 25
1This story throws light on what will happen in the kingdom of heaven. Ten bridesmaids went out with their lamps to meet the bridegroom.
2Five of them were careless while the others were sensible.
3The careless bridesmaids took their lamps as they were and did not bring extra oil.
4But those who were sensible, brought with their lamps flasks of oil.
5As the bridegroom delayed, they all grew drowsy and fell asleep.
6But at midnight, a cry rang out: 'The bridegroom is here, come out and meet him!'
7All the maidens woke up at once and trimmed their lamps.
8Then the careless ones said to the sensible ones: 'Give us some oil, for our lamps are going out.'
9The sensible ones answered: 'There may not be enough for both you and us. You had better go to those who sell and buy for yourselves.'
10They were out buying oil when the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went with him to the wedding feast, and the doors were shut.
11Later the rest of the bridesmaids arrived and called out: 'Lord, Lord, open to us.'
12But he answered: 'Truly, I do not know you.'
13So, stay awake, for you do not know the day nor the hour.
14Imagine someone who, before going abroad, summoned his servants to entrust his property to them.
15He gave five talents of silver to one, then two to another, and one to a third, each one according to his ability; and he went away.
16He who received five talents went at once to do business with the money and gained another five.
17The one who received two did the same and gained another two.
18But the one with one talent dug a hole and hid his master's money.
19After a long time, the master of those servants returned and asked for a reckoning.
20The one who received five talents came with another five talents, saying: 'Lord, you entrusted me with five talents, but see I have gained five more with them.'
21The master answered: 'Very well, good and faithful servant, since you have been faithful in a few things, I will entrust you with much more. Come and share the joy of your master.'
22Then the one who had two talents came and said: 'Lord, you entrusted me with two talents; I have two more which I gained with them.'
23The master said: 'Well, good and faithful servant, since you have been faithful in little things, I will entrust you with much more. Come and share the joy of your master.'
24Finally, the one who had received a talent came and said: 'Master, I know that you are an exacting man. You reap what you have not sown and gather what you have not invested.
25I was afraid, so I hid your money in the ground. Here, take what is yours.'
26But his master replied: 'Wicked and worthless servant, you know that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not invested.
27Then you should have deposited my money in the bank, and you would have given it back to me with interest on my return.
28Therefore, take the talent from him, and give it to the one who has ten.
29For to all those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who are unproductive, even what they have will be taken from them.
30As for that useless servant, throw him out into the dark where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory with all his angels, he will sit on the throne of his Glory.
32All the nations will be brought before him, and as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
33so will he do with them, placing the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34The King will say to those on his right: 'Come, blessed of my Father! Take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world.
35For I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me drink.
36I was a stranger and you welcomed me into your house. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to see me.'
37Then the good people will ask him: 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food; thirsty and give you drink,
38or a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?
39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to see you?'
40The King will answer, 'Truly, I say to you: whenever you did this to these little ones who are my brothers and sisters, you did it to me.'
41Then he will say to those on his left: 'Go, cursed people, out of my sight into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels!
42因為我餓了,你們沒有給我吃的;我渴了,你們沒有給我喝的; 42For I was hungry and you did not give me anything to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink;
43I was a stranger and you did not welcome me into your house; I was naked and you did not clothe me; I was sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'
44They, too, will ask: 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, thirsty, naked or a stranger, sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45The King will answer them: 'Truly, I say to you: whatever you did not do for one of these little ones, you did not do for me.'
46And these will go into eternal punishment, but the just to eternal life."

Chapter 2
13As the Passover of the Jews was at hand, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14In the Temple court he found merchants selling oxen, sheep and doves, and money-changers seated at their tables.
15Making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the Temple court, together with the oxen and sheep. He knocked over the tables of the money-changers, scattering the coins,
16and ordered the people selling doves, "Take all this away and stop turning my Father's house into a marketplace!"
17His disciples recalled the words of Scripture: Zeal for your House devours me as a fire.
18The Jews then questioned Jesus, "Where are the miraculous signs which give you the right to do this?"
19And Jesus said, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up."
20The Jews then replied, "The building of this temple has already taken forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?"
21Actually, Jesus was referring to the temple of his body.
22Only when he had risen from the dead did his disciples remember these words; then they believed both the Scripture and the words Jesus had spoken.

Chapter 18
4我又聽到了另一個聲音從天上說:「我的百姓,你們從她中間出來罷!免得你們分沾她的罪惡,也免得遭受她的災禍, 4Then I heard another voice from heaven: "Depart from her, my people, lest you share in her evil and so share in her punishments;
5for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God keeps count of her crimes.
6Give back to her as she has given, pay her twice for what she has done. Let her drink a double portion of what she made others do.
7Give her as much torment and grief as the wantonness she enjoyed herself. For she said to herself, 'I sit as queen, I am not a widow, never will I go into mourning!'
8And so, suddenly, her plagues will come - death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord, the judge, who has passed sentence on her."
9The kings who shared her luxury and committed adultery with her will see the smoke as she burns, and they will weep and lament.
10They will nevertheless keep their distance, terrified at her punishment, and exclaim: "Alas, alas! Great city that you are, O Babylon, seat of power! Your doom has come in a single hour!"

Chapter 4
3You have given enough time, in the past, to living as the pagans do: a life of excess, evil passions, drunkenness, orgies and worship of idols.
4They now find it strange that you are no longer swept along with them in this ruinous flood, and they misinterpret it.
5But they will be accountable to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
6The Gospel has been preached to many who are now dead. As humans they received a deadly sentence, but through the Spirit they shall live for God.
7The end of all things is near; live wisely and spend evening time praying.
8Above all, let your love for one another be sincere, for love covers a multitude of sins.
9Welcome one another into your houses without complaining.
10Serve one another with the gifts each of you received, thus becoming good managers of the varied graces of God.
11If you speak, deliver the word of God; if you have a special ministry, let it be seen as God's power so that, in everything, God may be glorified in Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and power forever and ever. Amen.
12My dear people, do not be surprised that you are being tested by fire. It is not an unusual occurrence.
13Instead, you should be glad to share in the sufferings of Christ because, on the day his Glory is revealed, you will also fully rejoice.
14You are fortunate if you are insulted because of the name of Christ, for the Spirit of glory rests on you.
15惟願你們中誰也不要因做兇手,或強盜,或壞人,或做煽亂的人而受苦。 15I suppose that none of you should suffer for being a murderer, a thief, a criminal or an informer;
16but if anyone suffers on account of being a Christian, do not consider it a disgrace; rather let this name bring glory to God.
17The time of judgment has come and it begins with God's household. If its beginning so affects us, what will be the end of those who refuse to believe in the Gospel?
18If the just one is barely saved, what will happen to the sinner and unbeliever?
19So, then, if you suffer according to God's will, entrust yourself to the faithful Creator and continue to do good.
13Greetings from the community in Babylon, gathered by God, and from my son, Mark.

Mark
Chapter 9
7But a cloud formed, covering them in a shadow, and from the cloud came this word, "This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to him."
Chapter 3
33He replied, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"
34And looking around at those who sat there he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers.
35Whoever does the will of God is brother and sister and mother to me."
Chapter 4
24And he also said to them, "Pay attention to what you hear. In the measure you give, so shall you receive and still more will be given to you.
25For the one who produces something, more will be given, and from him who does not produce anything, even what he has will be taken away from him."
38And Jesus was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. They woke him up and said, "Master, don't you care if we sink?"
39As Jesus awoke, he rebuked the wind and ordered the sea, "Quiet now! Be still!" The wind dropped and there was a great calm.
40Then Jesus said to them, "Why are you so frightened? Do you still have no faith?"
Chapter 5
34Then Jesus said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace and be free of this illness."
Chapter 7
20And he went on, "What comes out of a person is what defiles,
21for evil designs come out of the heart: theft, murder,
22adultery, jealousy, greed, maliciousness, deceit, indecency, slander, pride and folly.
23All these evil things come from within and make a person unclean."
Chapter 8
2"I feel sorry for these people because they have been with me for three days and now have nothing to eat.
3If I send them to their homes hungry, they will faint on the way; some of them have come a long way."
34Then Jesus called the people and his disciples and said, "If you want to follow me, deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me.
35For if you choose to save your life, you will lose it; and if you lose your life for my sake and for the sake of the Gospel, you will save it.
36What good is it to gain the whole world but destroy yourself?
37There is nothing you can give to recover your life.
38I tell you: If anyone is ashamed of me and of my words among this adulterous and sinful people, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the Glory of his Father with the holy angels."
Chapter 10
14When Jesus noticed it, he was very angry and said, "Let the children come to me and don't stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
15Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it."
16Then he took the children in his arms and laying his hands on them, blessed them.
17Just as Jesus was setting out on his journey again, a man ran up, knelt before him and asked, "Good Master, what must I do to have eternal life?"
18Jesus answered, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.
19You know the commandments: Do not kill, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not cheat, honor your father and mother."
20The man replied, "I have obeyed all these commandments since my childhood."
21耶穌定睛看他,就喜愛他,對他說:「你還缺少一樣:你去,變賣你所有的一切,施捨給窮人,你必有寶藏在天上,然後來,背著十字架,跟隨我!」 21Then Jesus looked steadily at him and loved him and he said, "For you, one thing is lacking. Go, sell what you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come and follow me."
22On hearing these words, his face fell and he went away sorrowful for he was a man of great wealth.
23Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!"
24The disciples were shocked at these words, but Jesus insisted, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of God."
26They were more astonished than ever and wondered, "Who, then, can be saved?"
27Jesus looked steadily at them and said, "For humans it is impossible, but not for God; all things are possible with God."
28Peter spoke up and said, "We have given up everything to follow you."
29Jesus answered, "Truly, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters, or father or mother, or children, or lands for my sake and for the Gospel,
30who will not receive his reward. I say to you: even in the midst of persecution he will receive a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and lands in the present time and in the world to come eternal life.
31Do pay attention: Many who now are first will be last, and the last, first."
Chapter 12
29耶穌回答說:「第一條是:『以色列!你要聽!上主我們的天主是唯一的天主。 29Jesus answered, "The first is: Hear, Israel! The Lord, our God, is One Lord;
30and you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.
31And after this comes another one: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these two."
32The teacher of the Law said to him, "Well-spoken, Master; you are right when you say that he is one and there is no other.
33To love him with all our heart, with all our understanding and with all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves is more important than any burnt offering or sacrifice."
34Jesus approved this answer and said, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." But after that, no one dared to ask him any more questions.
Chapter 16
15Then he told them, "Go out to the whole world and proclaim the Good News to all creation.
16The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; the one who refuses to believe will be condemned.
17信的人必有這些奇蹟隨著他們:因我的名驅遂魔鬼,說新語言, 17Signs like these will accompany those who have believed: in my Name they will cast out demons and speak new languages;
18they will pick up snakes and, if they drink anything poisonous, they will be unharmed. They will lay their hands on the sick and they will be healed."
19So then, after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven and took his place at the right hand of God.
20The Eleven went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs which accompanied them.

12This is the time for patient endurance among the holy ones, for those who keep the commandments of God and faith in Jesus.
13I heard someone from heaven say, "Write this: Happy from now are the dead who have died in the Lord. The Spirit says: Let them rest from their labors; their good deeds go with them."
Chapter 12
17Then the dragon was furious with the woman and went off to wage war on the rest of her children, those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus.
Acts
Chapter 5
3Then Peter said to him, "Ananias, how is it that you let Satan fill your heart and why do you intend to deceive the Holy Spirit by keeping some of the proceeds of your land for yourself?
你不是欺騙人,而是欺騙天主!」 4Who obliged you to sell it? And after it was sold, could you not have kept all the money? How could you think of such a thing? You have not deceived us but God."
5阿納尼雅一聽這話,就跌倒斷了氣。凡聽見的人,都十分害怕。 5Upon hearing these words, Ananias fell down and died. Great fear came upon all who heard of it;
6the young men stood up, wrapped his body and carried it out for burial.
7About three hours later Ananias's wife came but she was not aware of what had happened.
8Peter challenged her, "Tell me whether you sold that piece of land for this price?" She said, "Yes, that was the price."
9Peter replied, "How could you two agree to put the Holy Spirit to the test? Those who buried your husband are at the door and they will carry you out as well."
10With that, she fell dead at his feet. The young men came in, found her dead and carried her out for burial beside her husband.
11And great fear came upon the whole church and upon all who heard of it.
29To this Peter and the apostles replied, "Better for us to obey God rather than any human authority!
30The God of our ancestors raised Jesus whom you killed by hanging him on a wooden post.
31God set him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to grant repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.
32We are witnesses to all these things, as well as the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him."
2 Thessalonians
Chapter 1
3Brothers and sisters, we should give thanks to God at all times for you. It is fitting to do so, for your faith is growing and your love for one another increasing.
4We take pride in you among the churches of God because of your endurance and your faith in the midst of persecution and sufferings.
5In this the just judgment of God may be seen; for you must show yourselves worthy of the kingdom of God for which you are now suffering.
6Indeed, it is just that God repays with affliction those who persecute you,
7but to you who suffer, he will grant rest with us when the Lord Jesus will be shown in his Glory, coming from heaven and surrounded by his court of angels.
8Then with flaming fire will be punished those who do not recognize God and do not obey the Gospel of Jesus, our Lord.
9They will be sent to eternal damnation far away from the face of the Lord and his mighty glory.
10On that day the Lord will be glorified in the midst of his saints, and reveal his wonders through those who believe in him, that is through you who have received our testimony.
Chapter 2
13But we have to give thanks for you at all times, dear brothers and sisters in the Lord. For God chose you from the beginning to be saved through true faith and to be made holy by the Spirit.
14To this end he called you through the gospel we preach, for he willed you to share the glory of Christ Jesus our Lord.
15Because of that, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold to the traditions that we taught you by word or by letter.
16May Christ Jesus our Lord who has loved us, may God our Father, who in his mercy gives us everlasting comfort and true hope, strengthen you.
17May he encourage your hearts and make you steadfast in every good work and word.

Mark
Chapter 9
1And he went on to say, "Truly I tell you, there are some here who will not die before they see the kingdom of God coming with power."
2Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain. There his appearance was changed before their eyes.
3Even his clothes shone, becoming as white as no bleach of this world could make them.
4Elijah and Moses appeared to them; the two were talking with Jesus.
5Then Peter spoke and said to Jesus, "Master, it is good that we are here; let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."
6For he did not know what to say; they were overcome with awe.
7But a cloud formed, covering them in a shadow, and from the cloud came this word, "This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to him."

12This is the time for patient endurance among the holy ones, for those who keep the commandments of God and faith in Jesus.
Matthew
Chapter 18
18I say to you: whatever you bind on earth, heaven will keep bound; and whatever you unbind on earth, heaven will keep unbound.
Matthew
Chapter 28
16As for the Eleven disciples, they went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
17When they saw Jesus, they bowed before him, although some doubted.
18Then Jesus approached them and said, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.
19Go, therefore, and make disciples from all nations. Baptize them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20and teach them to fulfill all that I have commanded you. I am with you always until the end of this world."
Matthew
Chapter 24
Jude
Chapter 1
3Most beloved, I had wanted to write to you about the salvation we all share, but now I feel I must urge you to fight for the faith God has given once for all to the saints.
20But, dearly beloved, build your life on the foundation of your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
21Remain firm in the love of God, welcoming the mercy of Jesus Christ, our Lord, which leads to eternal life.
22對那些懷疑不信的人,你們要說服; 22Try to convince those who doubt;
23others you will save, snatching them from condemnation. Treat the others with compassion but also with prudence, shunning even the clothes which touched their body.
24To the one God who is able to keep you from all sin and bring you happy and without blemish before his own Glory,
25to the one God who saves us through Jesus Christ, our Lord, to him be glory, honor, might and power, from past ages, now and forever. Amen.

10He then said to me, "Do not keep secret the prophetic words of this book because the time is near.
11Let the sinner continue to sin and the defiled remain in his defilement; let the righteous continue to do what is right and he who is holy grow holier."
12"I am coming soon, bringing with me the salary I will pay to each one according to his deeds.
13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."
14Happy are those who wash their robes for they will have free access to the tree of Life and enter the city through the gates.
15Outside are the dogs, sorcerers, the immoral, murderers, idolaters and all who take pleasure in falsehood!
16"I, Jesus, sent my angel to make known to you these revelations concerning the Churches. I am the Shoot and Offspring of David, the radiant Morning Star."
17The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come!" Whoever hears let him say, "Come!" Whoever thirsts let him approach, and whoever desires, let him freely take the water of life.
18As for me, I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will pile on him the plagues described in this book.
19And if anyone takes away words from this book of prophecy, God will take from him his share in the tree of Life and the holy city described in this book.
20He who has declared all this says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen! Come, Lord Jesus.
21May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all

Chapter 12
3Those who acquired knowledge will shine like the brilliance of the firmament; those who taught people to be just will shine like the stars for all eternity.
9He said, "Go, Daniel, for these words are secret and sealed until the appointed time of the end.
10Many will be purified, cleansed and proved. The impious will go on doing evil, none of them will understand anything, only the learned will understand.
11From the time the perpetual sacrifice is suppressed and the Abominable Idol of the devastator is installed, there shall be a thousand two hundred ninety days.
12Fortunate is the one who waits and reaches a thousand three hundred thirty-five days.
13And you, go your way until your end. You shall rest and then rise to receive your reward at the end of time."

Chapter 21
2I saw the new Jerusalem, the holy city coming down from God, out of heaven, adorned as a bride prepared for her husband.
3A loud voice came from the throne, "Here is the dwelling of God among mortals: He will pitch his tent among them and they will be his people; he will be God-with-them.
4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain, for the world that was has passed away."
5The One seated on the throne said, "See, I make all things new." And then he said to me, "Write these words because they are sure and true."
6And he said to me: It is already done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I myself will give the thirsty to drink without cost from the fountain of living water.
7Thus the winner will be rewarded: For him I shall be God and he will be my son.
8As for cowards, traitors, depraved, murderers, adulterers sorcerers, and idolators - all those who live in falsehood, their place is the lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Chapter 21
22I saw no temple in the city for the Lord God, Master of the universe, and the Lamb are themselves its temple.
23The city has no need of the light of the sun or the moon, since God's Glory is its light and the Lamb is its lamp.
Chapter 22

Chapter 12
1A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
2She was pregnant and cried out in pain, looking to her time of delivery.
3Then another sign appeared: a huge, red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and wearing seven crowns on its heads.
4It had just swept along a third of the stars of heaven with its tail, throwing them down to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour the child as soon as it was born.
5She gave birth to a male child, the one who is to rule all the nations with an iron scepter; then her child was seized and taken up to God and to his throne

Chapter 21
11like a precious jewel with the color of crystal-clear jasper.
12Its wall, large and high, has twelve gates; stationed at them are twelve angels. Over the gates are written the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.
13Three gates face the east; three gates face the north; three gates face the south and three face the west.
14The city wall stands on twelve foundation stones on which are written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb
Chapter 4
4In a circle around the throne are twenty-four thrones and seated on these are twenty-four elders, dressed in white clothes, with golden crowns on their heads.
5Flashes of lightning come forth from the throne, with voices and thunderclaps. Seven flaming torches burn before the throne; these are the seven spirits of God.
6Before the throne there is a platform, transparent like crystal. Around and beside the throne stand four living creatures, full of eyes, both in front and behind.
7The first living creature is like a lion, the second like a bull, the third has the face of a man and the fourth looks like a flying eagle.
8Each of the four living creatures has six wings full of eyes, all around as well as within; day and night they sing without ceasing, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, master of the universe, who was, and is and is to come.
9Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to the One on the throne, he who lives for ever and ever,
10the twenty-four elders fall down before him and worship the One who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns in front of the throne and say,
11Our Lord and God, worthy are you to receive glory, honor and power! For you have created all things; by your will they came to be and were made.

Chapter 11
3Meanwhile, I will entrust my Word to my two witnesses who will proclaim it for one thousand two hundred and sixty days, dressed in sackcloth."
4These are the two olive trees and the two lamps which are before the Lord of the earth.
5If anyone intends to harm them, fire will come out of their mouths to devour their enemies: this is how whoever intends to harm them will perish.
6They have the power to close the sky and hold back the rain during the time of their prophetic mission; they also have the power to change water into blood, and punish the earth with a thousand plagues, any time they wish.
7But when my witnesses have fulfilled their mission, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war upon them, and will conquer and kill them.
8Their dead bodies will lie in the square of the Great City which the believers figuratively call Sodom or Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.
9And their dead bodies will be exposed for three days and a half to people of all tribes, races, languages and nations who will be ordered not to have them buried.
10Then the inhabitants of the earth will rejoice, congratulate one another and exchange gifts among themselves because these two prophets were a torment to them.
11But after those three and a half days, a spirit of life coming from God entered them. They then stood up, and those who looked at them were seized with great fear.
12A loud voice from heaven called them, "Come up here." So they went up to heaven in the midst of the clouds in the sight of their enemies.
4There were thrones and seated on them were those with the power to judge. I then saw the spirits of those who had been beheaded for having held the teachings of Jesus and on account of the word of God. I saw all those who had refused to worship the beast or its image, or receive its mark on the forehead or on the hand. They returned to life and reigned with the Messiah for a thousand years. This is the first resurrection.
5The rest of the dead will not return to life before the end of the thousand years.
6Happy and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection, for the second death has no power over them; they will be priests of God and of his Messiah and reign with him a thousand years.

Chapter 14
12This is the time for patient endurance among the holy ones, for those who keep the commandments of God and faith in Jesus.
13I heard someone from heaven say, "Write this: Happy from now are the dead who have died in the Lord. The Spirit says: Let them rest from their labors; their good deeds go with them."
Chapter 12
17Then the dragon was furious with the woman and went off to wage war on the rest of her children, those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus.
